Wellness Savings (“Wellness Savings,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates https://wellnesssavings.org (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit the Site, read our articles, click deal or affiliate links, purchase our digital Wellness Guide, or otherwise interact with us.

We publish this policy so it is easy to find from every page of the Site (including via the footer link) and so it meets Google AdSense publisher disclosure requirements and common global privacy standards, including the EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA, other U.S. state privacy laws, and COPPA.

1. Who we are

Wellness Savings is a content and deals website operated by Nichole. We provide articles, discount codes, and product reviews related to wellness, fitness, family, and related products. The Site is intended for a general adult audience (including parents), not for children.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories. We do not require you to create an account to read the Site.

2.1 Information you provide

• Communications: If you email us (for example about a deal tip, review request, partnership, or privacy question), we receive the email address and any information you include in the message.
• Purchases: If you buy our Wellness Guide or another paid offer, the payment processor collects the information needed to complete checkout (see Payments below). We may receive confirmation that a purchase occurred.
• Optional newsletter or forms: If we offer a signup form, we collect the contact details you submit (such as an email address) and any preferences you select.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

• Log and device data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, date/time of visit, and approximate general location derived from IP address.
• Usage data: How you interact with the Site (pages, clicks, time on page, scroll, and similar metrics).
• Cookies, pixels, and identifiers: Small files or similar technologies stored on your device or read from your browser, including those set by us and by third parties (advertising, analytics, and affiliate partners). See Cookies and Google AdSense.

2.3 Information we do not intentionally collect

We do not ask for government ID numbers, precise geolocation, payment card numbers (those go to the payment processor), or health diagnoses. Product reviews may discuss wellness topics in general; that is editorial content, not collection of your health records.

3. How we use information

We use information for these purposes:

• To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our content.
• To understand which articles, deals, and pages readers find useful.
• To respond to emails and partnership inquiries.
• To process digital product purchases through our payment provider.
• To measure traffic and diagnose technical issues.
• To display advertising, including personalized or non-personalized ads, through Google AdSense and related Google advertising services.
• To attribute affiliate referrals when you click a deal link and later purchase from a partner (at no extra cost to you).
• To protect the Site, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with law.
• To send you information you requested (for example, a reply to your email).

Where required by law (for example in the EEA/UK), we rely on one or more legal bases: performance of a request you make (replying to email), legitimate interests in running a publishing site, compliance with legal obligations, and/or consent (especially for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising).

4. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We and third parties also use related technologies such as pixels, tags, local storage, and web beacons. These technologies may collect information as a result of ad serving, analytics, and affiliate tracking on the Site.

Third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your browser, or using web beacons, pixels, or IP addresses to collect information as a result of ad serving on this website.

4.1 Types of cookies we use or allow

• Strictly necessary / functional: Help the Site load, remember basic settings, and keep security features working.
• Analytics: Help us understand aggregate traffic and which content is used. These cookies typically do not identify you by name.
• Advertising: Used by Google and other advertising partners to serve, measure, and (where permitted) personalize ads, limit how often you see an ad, and detect fraud. See Google AdSense.
• Affiliate / conversion: When you click a sponsored or affiliate link, the merchant or affiliate network may set a cookie so they can credit a later purchase to that click.

4.2 How to control cookies

• Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may break parts of the Site or ads.
• Opt out of personalized Google ads via Google Ads Settings.
• Opt out of many interest-based ads via the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org.
• European users can also visit www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Cookie choices are usually browser- and device-specific. If you clear cookies, you may need to set preferences again.

5. Google AdSense and advertising (required disclosures)

We use Google AdSense and related Google advertising services to display ads on the Site. This helps keep the Site free to read. Google’s advertising technology uses cookies and similar technologies.

In accordance with Google AdSense program requirements, we disclose the following:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, users may opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland: Personalized advertising in these regions is subject to Google’s EU User Consent Policy and applicable law. Where required, consent for non-essential cookies and personalized ads must be obtained through a Google-certified consent tool. If consent is not granted, you may still see ads, but they may be non-personalized. You can also use the opt-out links in this section at any time.

We do not use Google advertising products to create audiences or serve personalized ads based on activity we know belongs to children under 13, or based on content directed at children under 13. See Children’s privacy.

6. Affiliate links and referral tracking

Many product and deal links on the Site are affiliate links. If you click a link and later buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate networks and merchants (for example ShareASale, Impact, CJ, Refersion, brand-owned referral programs, and similar partners) may set cookies or read a click identifier to attribute that purchase.

Those companies act as independent controllers of the data they collect on their checkout pages. Their privacy policies govern that processing. We describe our commercial relationships on our Affiliate Disclosure page and within articles.

7. Payments

Digital purchases (such as the Wellness Guide offered via Stripe) are processed by Stripe or another payment processor we designate. We do not store your full payment card number on our servers. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment data: https://stripe.com/privacy.

8. Analytics, hosting, and logs

The Site is hosted by third-party infrastructure providers (including Vercel or a similar host). Hosts automatically process server logs (IP address, request URL, user-agent, and timestamps) to deliver the Site, provide security, and debug errors.

We may use first-party or third-party analytics to measure aggregate usage. Analytics providers may set cookies or collect device and usage data as described in their policies. We use this information to improve content and site performance, not to sell a list of named visitors.

9. How we share information

We do not sell your name and email as a mailing list. We may share information as follows:

• Service providers: Hosting, content delivery, analytics, email, payment processing, and security vendors who process data on our behalf under appropriate terms.
• Advertising partners: Google and other ad vendors receive cookie and device information as a result of ads loading on the Site (see AdSense).
• Affiliate partners: Click identifiers and referral cookies when you choose to follow a deal link (see Affiliates).
• Legal and safety: If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Wellness Savings, our readers, or others.
• Business transfers: If we transfer operation of the Site, information associated with the Site may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor notice.

Some advertising and analytics technologies may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California and similar U.S. state laws, even when we do not exchange a list of names for money. See California rights for how to opt out.

10. Data retention

We keep email correspondence as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. Server logs are typically retained for a limited period set by our host (often days to a few months) unless needed for security. Cookies last according to their expiry settings or until you delete them. Payment records are retained by the processor as required for tax, fraud, and accounting.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small publishing website (HTTPS, reputable hosting, limited access to inboxes). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a unique password on any third-party account you use to pay or subscribe, and do not send sensitive medical or financial details by unsolicited email.

12. International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you visit the Site from the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or another region, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries that may not provide the same legal protections as your home country. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms used by our vendors (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) and on your consent or other lawful bases for cookies and ads.

13. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not use Google AdSense or other advertising to personalize ads based on activity we know belongs to children under 13.

Some articles discuss family, baby, or parenting products for adult caregivers. That content is written for parents and other adults, not as a destination for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact creator.nickie@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

14. Privacy rights (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate data;
• Delete data in certain circumstances;
• Restrict or object to certain processing (including processing based on legitimate interests);
• Data portability, where technically feasible;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing);
• Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

15. California and other U.S. state privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA may give you the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Similar rights exist in states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others.

Categories of personal information. In the past 12 months we may have collected: identifiers (IP address, cookie IDs, email if you contact us); commercial information (purchase confirmation if you buy a digital product); internet or electronic activity (browsing on the Site); and inferences used by ad partners to serve ads.

Sources. You, your device/browser, our host and analytics providers, advertising partners, and payment processors.

Purposes. As described in How we use information.

Sale / sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Use of advertising and affiliate cookies may constitute “sharing” or a “sale” under California law because third parties receive identifiers to show or measure ads and conversions. To opt out of that type of sharing for Google ads, use Google Ads Settings and www.aboutads.info. You may also email creator.nickie@gmail.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.”

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under CPRA, and we do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. To submit a request, email creator.nickie@gmail.com. We may need to verify your request (for example, by confirming we have an email from you). You may use an authorized agent as permitted by law.

16. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no consistent industry standard for responding to DNT. We do not currently respond to DNT signals as a uniform site-wide setting. You can still control cookies and ad personalization using the tools in this policy.

17. Third-party websites

Deal links, ads, and social or checkout pages take you to websites we do not control. Those sites have their own privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for their practices. Review their policies before providing personal information or making a purchase.

18. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. The current version will always be posted at https://wellnesssavings.org/privacy/. Material changes may also be noted on the Site. Continued use of the Site after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
